Upon arriving in Ottawa, Violet faced the challenge of restarting her nursing education, showcasing remarkable perseverance and resilience. Her career path encompassed various healthcare environments, from hospitals to long-term care homes. A recent focus has been on community health nursing and wound care, where she identified a need for high-quality preventive foot care.

Inspired to make a difference, Violet expanded her expertise to specialize in foot care, emphasizing a commitment to overall wellness. Now, with immense pride, she is establishing her own clinic to provide top-notch foot care services.

Violet’s approach to healthcare is holistic, dedicated to finding lasting solutions for her patients’ well-being. She empowers them with information, firmly believing in making a positive impact on lives, step by step.

In 2015, Violet successfully graduated from Algonquin College’s Registered Practical Nurse program. She is a proud member of the College of Nurses of Ontario, Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario, and Podortho Nursing Association. Her dedication to professional development is underscored by her Wound Specialist designation earned through the University of Toronto’s International Interprofessional Wound Care Course in 2019.

Susan Abunada

Advanced Foot Care Nurse, Registered Nurse

Susan is a highly skilled and passionate foot care nurse, fluent in both English and Arabic. She holds a diploma in biomedical science, but soon realized her true passion lies in helping people. Drawn to a field where she could not only improve people’s health but also help them maintain it, she went on to graduate as a Registered Nurse from Western University.

Her diverse experience includes working at Ottawa General Hospital, providing home health care, and serving the community at London InterCommunity Health Center.
Susan is passionate about educating patients on preventive care, particularly in managing diabetes. Her interest in this disease and its effects on the body led her to specialize in foot care. She is currently working towards certification as a diabetic educator, driven by her desire to help others maintain their health and well-being.

Clara Provenzano

Advanced Foot Care Nurse, Registered Nurse

Clara is a nurse with over 10 years of experience and great love for her career. Early on in her professional journey, she pursued a specialization in care for seniors and people with diabetes. She soon noticed the great need for foot care and education in proper foot health and hygiene, as well as the effect of neglecting foot health on their independence and mobility.

To add to her skillset, she completed both a Diabetes Educator Certificate Program and an Advanced Diabetic Foot Care Certificate Program, the latter of which she has been practicing for the last 9 years.

Clara is passionate when it comes to preventative care and diabetes education, and enjoys working in direct patient care. In addition to her experience and skills, these qualities make her a great foot care nurse and overall professional.

Chrislyn Juliette Edmond

Advanced Foot Care Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse

From a young age, Juliette demonstrated a strong desire to assist others. Her interest in nursing was sparked when she learned to care for her younger diabetic brother. She launched her nursing journey with a diploma from Heritage College in 2010, followed by a refresher course at Algonquin College in 2016. With foot care being an essential part of diabetic care, Juliette studied this specialization, adding it to her already solid skillset.

Throughout her career, Juliette has gained valuable experience throughout multiple healthcare settings such as clinics, long-term cares and hospitals. She strives to create a secure, welcoming space where clients feel empowered and cared for as she develops tailored treatment plans prioritizing each patient’s needs.

Asuncion Dolo

Advanced Foot Care Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse

Services in English and Filipino

Asuncion (Azun) immigrated to Canada from the Philippines in 2007. She worked as a live-in caregiver for an elderly gentleman before obtaining her certificate as a Registered Practical Nurse. She has been working in long term care since 2013. After noticing the great need for foot care in her senior patients, she decided to specialize in foot care to better address their needs.

Azun is passionate about her work and cares deeply about helping people in need. She is commited to providing high quality care, and looks forward to working with her patients to ensure their individual health care needs are met.

Leonor Suralta

Advanced Foot Care Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse

Services in English, Filipino and Cebuano

Leonor is a nurse with great passion and many years of experience across various countries. She holds an RN status in the Philipines, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. When she arrived to Canada, she resumed her career as an RPN, working in community settings, long-term care and retirement homes.

Leonor enjoys one-on-one interactions with her patients, which allows for more personalized and focused care. Through her focus on healthcare for seniors she observed the importance of foot health in preserving mobility and independence, which motivated her to specialize in foot care. She now provides treatment for a variety of foot issues with great care and skill.

Kezie Leyson

Advanced Foot Care Nurse, Registered Nurse

Services in English

Kezie is a dedicated Registered Nurse with over 8 years of clinical experience and a diverse background in community health, neurosurgery, and operating room nursing. She is committed to delivering safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care, with a strong focus on quality and compassion in every aspect of her practice.

Kezie has recently completed Advanced Footcare Nursing training, further expanding her skills in preventive and therapeutic foot care. She is passionate about promoting foot health, early detection of complications, and improving comfort and mobility. She remains committed to continuous learning and strives to provide holistic care that supports the overall well-being of her patients.

Amarjit Rangi

Advanced Foot Care Nurse, Registered Nurse

Amarjit Rangi, known as Amar, is a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with international healthcare experience. She began her nursing career in India and later worked as a caregiver in the United States before moving to Canada in 2010. Over the years, Amar has gained valuable experience in home care, retirement homes, and long-term care settings across Ontario.

Amar completed her specialization in advanced foot care in 2018, and has been helping patients improve their comfort and quality of life ever since. She is passionate about patient-centered care and dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of those she serves.

Myranda Duguay

Advanced Foot Care Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse

Since she graduated in 2018, Myranda has dedicated her nursing career to community health, supporting patients across homecare, primary care, and outreach programs for vulnerable families. Passionate about preventive healthcare and education, she focuses on keeping her patients informed, involved and comfortable in their care.

Through her work in the community, Myranda recognized a growing need for foot care. She remains dedicated to expanding her knowledge and expertise, and has now completed a specialization in advanced foot care, equipping her to deliver excellent foot care to all.

Cass Saavedra

Cass, a dedicated social worker by profession, embarked on her Canadian journey in 2012. Completing her education at Collège La Cité in Ottawa, she has honed her skills through diverse experiences working with people.

Despite her youth, she possesses a profound sense of empathy, a crucial attribute in her role managing a clinic focused on patient care. Her ability to connect with individuals on a deep level stems from her genuine concern and understanding.

Cass’s commitment to her profession, coupled with her exceptional skills and empathetic approach, uniquely positions her to effectively manage the clinic. Her ability to understand and connect with people, combined with her cultural fluency, ensures a patient-centered and inclusive approach to healthcare management.
